Recreational/Fitness Rollerblades
Recreational and fitness rollerblades are designed for basic skating and cruising around. The majority of them have a soft boot which provides maximum comfort but creates a little less support than an urban/freestyle skate. The liners and frames are generally built in so they are not quite as customizable.
Wheel size will determine how the skate performs. Bigger wheels are better for going faster but will sacrifice ability to turn due to the longer wheel base. Small wheels will go slower but the shorter wheel base will allow for better turning.
The fit of each different brand/model can be very unique but they are generally very accommodating for most feet due to the nature of the soft boot.
We recommend trying on the skate before purchasing if you can, however there are some easy ways to help choose a skate if this is not possible. Determining the length of your foot in centimeters is the most accurate way to determine if a skate is the correct length or not. Skates do not typically specify their width but each model will have a particular reputation for being a wide, regular or narrow fit. We are familiar with most brands/models and can help provide this information.
