Urban/Freestyle Rollerblades

Urban/Freestyle rollerblades are designed for performance and provide additional support, this creates a much better overall skating experience. The stiffer harder boot allows for better energy transfer when skating and maneuvering. They are much easier to customize and replace parts on too, and will generally hold their shape and last longer than recreational/fitness skates. These factors make this the most recommended and popular style of skate.

Wheel size will determine how the skate performs. Bigger wheels are better for going faster but will sacrifice ability to turn due to the longer wheel base. Small wheels will go slower but the shorter wheel base will allow for better turning.

The fit of each different brand/model can be very unique and is determined by the actual shape of the boot itself and the liner inside the boot. Both are equally important factors in how the skate will actually feel and fit.

We recommend trying on the skate before purchasing if you can, however there are some easy ways to help choose a skate if this is not possible. Determining the length of your foot in centimeters is the most accurate way to determine if a skate is the correct length or not. Skates do not typically specify their width but each model will have a particular reputation for being a wide, regular or narrow fit. We are familiar with most brands/models and can help provide this information.
